How’s It Going:
Andrew says I should be more descriptive in my posts, but honestly, this is the most boring part of the whole revision. Not for me; I love seeing everything come together and fall in place. But really, all I’m doing is taking each page of printed manuscript, in order, copy-pasting what I can from the draft document, and typing in any changes or additions I’ve made on paper. There is no thought involved in this process (or at least, very minimal thought; any on-the-fly changes at this point are only wording/grammar/punctuation tweaks).

Maybe that’s part of why I like it. Other than, you know, almost being done.

Next up, the type-in. The final stretch. Somehow, despite all the breaks, I’m actually still on track to finish this by my original deadline of 8/25, even if I only do 20 pages a day. But I’ve been down this road before and, uh, 20 doesn’t sound like a lot, but there are gonna be days where it is a lot.

Work (you know, my day job) has been a nightmare for several weeks now due to some changes we’re making, and it’s caused a severe increase in call volume. So I’m exhausted. I promise I haven’t given up, and I haven’t forgotten about this, I’m just not able to summon enough extra energy to put any time into this at the moment. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon and I can finish this revision. We’re so close, y’all.

How’s It Going:
The pace I was going, I got a little burnt out and had to take a break. But I still have plenty of time to finish before my deadline.
