When the clock reads 21:13

Goal 1) Write BM&A3

  • My Goal: write something every writing day
  • Where I planned to be: no expectations
  • Where I am: 17,462 words
  • On Target or Behind: Meh

How’s It Going:
Making good on my promise to come back to this after the new year. Taking things easy on myself by not pushing for a strict word count seems to be working.

Slow, but steady.

Paperback version now available!

Imma be real, formatting the covers for these was a bitch, and the insides weren’t much better. Most of the annoyance was due to the precise, absolute, and weirdly mysterious nature of converting digital to print, versus the more flexible WYSIWYG aspect of all-digital. But I’m happy to say that both Book 1 and Book 2 are now available in paperback from Amazon. When I release Book 3, it will also be available as a paperback right away, now that I know what’s involved.

Down at the bottom, but I’m fine

Goal 1) Write BM&A3

  • My Goal: 500 WPD, 1500 WPW
  • Where I planned to be: Not here
  • Where I am: 16955 words
  • On Target or Behind:

How’s It Going:
I’m taking a break from writing this. I’ve been considering it for a while, but my last session with my psychologist has confirmed that this is the best plan. My soft return will be around the new year.

In the meantime, I will work on related things. I’m in the process of releasing the first two books in paperback. I’ve been planning this for a while, but I haven’t really had the time to sit down and get everything together. The biggest job honestly is formatting the covers, which I’m kind of having to backward engineer. But we’ll see how the proof looks.

Everything changes

Goal 1) Write BM&A3

  • My Goal: 500 WPD, 1500 WPW
  • Where I planned to be: We’re just avoiding the subject
  • Where I am: 16648 words
  • On Target or Behind: De Nile is a river in Africa

How’s It Going:
I’m not gonna lie, folks. I am struggling.

I’ve spent the last 2 (3? what is time) weeks taking it easy, trying to organize my thoughts and it’s…well, it’s not going well. I can see some of what’s happening, snippets of interaction and dialogue, but not with enough clarity to put into enough words to create a full scene.
