The world’s a rollercoaster and I am not strapped in

The Atheist’s Inferno is complete! I appreciate everyone who’s supported me along the way, everyone who’s already snatched it up, and everyone who reads it going forward. GOAL 1) Write BM&A:3

  • My clear target is: Write the first draft of book 3
  • My reachable deadline is: June 30, 2024
  • My working days are: Wed-Fri, Sat/Sun if needed
  • My method of measuring progress: Word count
  • My end goal: 50,000+ words
  • My daily goal, and number of available days: Write 500 words, 3 days a week
  • My leverage — WHY I need to do this: Inheritance? The internet? I inherited the internet! (oh, wait…) Because Andrew won’t leave me alone. Uhhhh, because I have to know how Madison’s story ends just as bad as everyone else. And I have ideas.

My original goal for The Atheist’s Inferno…died a fiery death, screaming the whole way down into the deepest darkest pit in Hell. Not to say it was unattainable, just life got in the way, and I let it. And that’s on me.

So for Book 3, I’m giving myself a year. Lenient? Maybe. I do have a full-time job now, but it is MUCH less exhausting, even if it is more mentally taxing than washing cars all day. But because it’s almost exclusively technical, it leaves my creative side free to wander, and I’ve honestly been itching to start writing this for months now.

  • Where I am: …Nervous, but ready to slam the publish button
  • On Target or Behind: On Target

How’s It Going:
I know, I know, I forgot to update last week. BUT. Keywords are done. My promos are scheduled. I’ve picked a date to publish. I’m still working on the ads I’ll be running on Facebook, but it won’t take much to finish up.

We are going LIVE next week, folks! Stay tuned.

I’m being heckled by my coworkers on a daily basis to finish this. It’s really more funny than anything.

  • Where I planned to be: Chapter and scene breaks done, manuscript imported into KC, front and back matter started
  • Where I am: Formatting in KC, trying to figure out what I want to do with the front and back matter
  • On Target or Behind: On Target

How’s It Going:
Kindle Create apparently didn’t like my author photo, and it took me a good 30 minutes to figure out how to get it to stop uploading sideways since there’s no option to rotate images. But opening it in Paint and resaving it seemed to do the trick. -shrug-

Otherwise, so far, so good.
